Process
The creative process of Embodied begins with a direct dialogue with matter, explored as an extension of the body and psyche.
Layer by layer, I use bandages coated with plaster, glue, gauze, silicone, jute, and paper — torn, shaped, and modeled through intuitive gestures, by hand and with brushes, to create fissures, openings, reliefs, and ripples.
Only when the material reaches the desired three-dimensionality is it left to dry completely.
At that point, color intervenes to complete the movement already inscribed in the matter.
